Sole Ownership
Sole racehorse ownership offers the ultimate experience for those seeking full control and recognition. As the sole owner, you race under your own name and colours, make key decisions, and keep 100% of any owner prize money earned. You'll enjoy exclusive access to your horse's training, behind-the-scenes stable visits, and VIP race day privileges. With support from Horse Racing Ireland, including a personalised online owner account (RÁS) to manage entries and finances, sole ownership is both rewarding and straightforward.
Partnerships
Partnership ownership allows 2–4 people to share the thrill of racehorse ownership while splitting costs, responsibilities, and prize money. Each partner is officially registered, and the horse races under a joint name or the lead partner’s colours. Partnerships offer full access to the owner experience—stable visits, trainer updates, and race-day privileges—while making ownership more affordable and enjoyable as a shared venture.
Syndicates
Syndicate ownership is a popular, cost-effective way for larger groups (usually 5 or more people) to enjoy the excitement of racehorse ownership. Managed by a syndicate manager, members share costs and returns without needing to register individually. It’s a social and accessible option that still provides many of the same perks—like stable visits, trainer communication, and race-day access—making it ideal for friends, families, or clubs looking to experience racing together with less financial commitment.
